Stories are a must for Instagram! To ensure a robust Story presence, it’s important to utilize both video and photo content. Once you’ve mastered the basics, we can kick it up a notch with interactive stickers! Today, let’s chat about how to make your Stories more engaging with stickers (there’s so many options!):

How to Make Your Stories More Engaging with Stickers

Instagram’s algorithm places a lot of emphasis on accounts already engaged with, so ultimately: The more your audience members engage with you, whether on Stories or posts, or in messages, the more your content will appear front and center at the top of their feed. Stickers that encourage interactions help this effort greatly!

1. Polls

Polls are super easy for your audience to engage with! This tool comes in handy when you’re trying to learn more about your audience’s preferences, or simply just strike up a conversation. You can create multiple all at once, too! This sticker is pretty low-stakes and folks tend to love engaging with polls.

2. Question Boxes

The question box sticker is ideal for getting more detailed data - you can ask an open-ended question, ask people to fill in the blank, or ask them to ask *you* a question!

3. Quizzes

Another option is the multiple choice answer quiz sticker. This allows you to gauge your audience’s preferences and opinions with a more in-depth format than the poll sticker.

4. Slider

The slider is a pretty fun sticker, allowing folks to vote similarly to a 1-5 scale, or show their level of enthusiasm about something you’re sharing.

5. GIFs

This one isn’t interactive, but is a great way to add personality! You are able to search for a wide variety of cute moving GIFs and other visual stickers by using the search box.

6. Custom Graphics

Take it up a notch and make your own custom graphics! You can use whichever program you prefer (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) and make .png files with transparent backgrounds, then simply save them to your phone’s Camera Roll, open your Story that you’d like to post, hit "copy” on the photo file in your Camera Roll, then flip back onto your Story and an option to paste the photo will pop up! This is the easiest hack for implementing your own graphics and branding elements.

From this list, which sticker are you most likely to implement first? Have any further questions about Stories? Leave them in the comments - I’d be happy to help!
